I take tons of everyday photos with my phone that sometimes never make it to the blog, so each month I'm going to do a phone dump of random pictures that capture our everyday life. Enjoy!

Spring Football

Last weekend MU (and specifically Daddy) wrapped up the spring football season with a team scrimmage. We always enjoy the spring game because it's fun to get back out to the football field and it's usually one of the 1st nice days of spring weather.

The weather didn't disappoint! It was quite warm and sunny. We all enjoyed the rays, unfortunately I couldn't find our summer hats for Kolter so he was a little warm wearing his hoodie to protect his bald head :)

The kids enjoyed playing with their friends. This was the 1st game Kolter has been to where he was mobile and he did really well…though it was a little tiring for mommy!

Mommy Dates

I am with my kids all day, everyday but I rarely get one-on-one time with the kids. So this spring I decided to be intentional about spending some quality time with each of the older kids.
Sawyer and Mommy went on a coffee date. It was Sawyer's 1st time at Starbucks (obviously his parents aren't coffee drinkers)! Sawyer was such a gentleman…he opened the door and paid for the food (i.e. used Mommy's gift card).

It was so nice to sit and just talk to my oldest child. When chasing after the younger ones I often forget how old he is getting. We sat and had great conversation! Then we ate our cake pops and Sawyer drank his vanilla steamer. To round out our date we played games and did a puzzle. Sawyer loves puzzles and games and having mommy's undivided attention. It was so fun hanging out with my big boy!

I also had some fun girl time with my little lady. I had some girly entertainment planned, but Nora begged to do the same thing as Sawyer ;) So, we did a little shopping and hit up Starbucks. We got cake pops and she chatted my ear off. I adore spending time with my fun loving, sassy little Eleanora. She is growing up too fast!

Gymnastics

Since we didn't enroll Nora in preschool this year I knew I wanted to enroll her in some activity because she is sooooo social. I thought gymnastics this winter would be the perfect activity to get us out of the house, get her social interaction and I thought she would enjoy it.

When I brought it up in the new year she was adamant that she didn't want to go to gymnastics because she was scared to jump off the diving board :) It took a long time to finally convince her there was no diving board or water at gymnastics class (funny enough she is now in swim lessons and loves them).
Nora loves the idea of school. She is always making up a school just like Sawyer's with the teachers and students eerily similar to Sawyer's :) So, one day I got the idea to ask if she would like to go to gymnastics school (huge difference from gymnastics lessons ;) and once I mentioned the word "school" she was all in. I signed her up the next day!

sorry for the blurry shot…it's hard to get her moving from far away
jump, jump
Each week she eagerly went in, listened to her teacher and did every activity. She loved her teachers and all the fun activities. Such a difference from her brother's first gymnastics experience.

And on the evaluation she completed all but 1 skill. I think she did great! She is eager to do it again, but we'll probably wait until next winter since she has swimming lessons currently, then it's summer, then it's football season...
