The Weekend & some football

Friday night I had a women's event at church. It combined two of my favorite things: talking to other women and fondue! Needless to say it was a wonderful night of fellowship and fun.

It's also a good thing I had a small break from the kids as Saturday we drove 2 1/2 hours to the football game in Tiffin, OH. The ride went pretty well except for a small car sickness incident for one of the people in our carpool. It was rainy and muggy. There were also some thunderstorms so there was a lightning delay before the game even began, but once the game started there was no precipitation. The game started off very close then after halftime the other team pulled ahead. In the fourth quarter the Pioneers came back but it was a little late they lost 34-30.

The highlight of the day was Sawyer got to ride home on the bus! He had a blast. We didn't get home until 9:00 pm so needless to say we were all ready for bed after a long day of travel and football.

Next up a series of pictures titled "how we entertain the kids when trying to watch a football game"

coloring

stickers

snacks

cheering on the team

playing with cars along the bleachers (and obviously sitting far away from fans who actually watch the game)

Today we are trying to keep things low key and relaxing. We are enjoying some family time and church...there may even be a nap in everyone's schedule. It will be a great day to relax and recharge for the next busy week.
