MU Game 1

This Saturday was the first game of the season for the Malone Pioneers. They took on Notre Dame College. It was an away game in Cleveland so we made the trek up there. It was a pretty exciting game. The lead went back and forth, there were several big plays, but in the end Notre Dame edged out the Pioneers 37 -31.

While we made the trip up there one of our family members wasn't feeling so well. He spent most the game curled up in a camping chair with a blanket. It was 85 degrees out and he NEEDED that blanket. Plus he sat for over an hour, which NEVER happens. So I knew he wasn't feeling well, but he also didn't want to leave the game. So following the game we rushed home to take care of him. It' funny how your perspective of the game changes when you have a sick one. Yes, it stinks to lose, but once the game was over Kyle and I were immediately focused on helping him feel better and figuring out what was wrong.

This is how he looked most of the game

Unfortunately, as I type this he is still not doing well. His high fever persists (102-104 degrees). He is obviously fighting off something, but he has no other symptoms. He has been eating and drinking well when the Tylenol kicks in. His stomach doesn't hurt, no drainage, no cough, no throwing up. It's a bit of a mystery, but we'll just keep administering Tylenol and hope his little body can continue to fight off the bug. If he is not moving in the right direction by tomorrow we'll take him to the doctor. So the plan for the day is to do a lot of snuggling. It's kind of cute when the Tylenol kicks in he starts talking a mile a minute. It's like he knows it's going to wear off so he better get his words in while he can :)
