Camping {Day 2}

Saturday was a big day.  We woke up to some chilly temps so we snuggled around the fire to warm ourselves up during breakfast.

Sawyer so badly wants to throw that stick in the fire.

For the first activity of the day Kyle and Sawyer went fishing.  They caught 1 fish.  We may need to get him his own pole...daddy's are a little big.

While the boys fished the girls went on a group hike. Nora had the best seat in her stroller.  This hike proved to be a bit treacherous as we climbed steep hills with mud and even crossed over a rocky ravine.  Thankfully we brought the jogging stroller and had helpful hands to pull us out of the tough spots.  Nora thoroughly enjoyed all the scenery and the jostling around.  After all the morning fun it was time for naps.

During the afternoon the temps rose and the sun came out.  Sawyer had some fun blowing bubbles and popping them.

Then we got ready for the group hot dog roast by cutting some watermelon.

Nora was a little unsure of her surroundings at first but once she got comfortable she was all over the campsite

 Following dinner we went to a nearby farm for a good old-fashion hay rack ride.

After the ride the boys couldn't resist getting in a little fishing time at the farm pond.

Sawyer is really going through an independent stage right now.  He thinks he can do everything himself.  Here is trying to reel in a fish and telling daddy to get away.  In the end he realized he needed daddy's help.

How cute are my two boys fishing together?

And to end the evening we made s'mores.  I adore s'mores so this was the highlight of the day for me!
