Everyday Life

A sweet friend of mine who is a little farther along in this motherhood journey recently told me she was looking through pictures of her children and while she loves the school pictures and the holiday pictures her most cherished images are the pictures of everyday life.  A picture of them playing with their favorite toy or eating their favorite meal.  A picture of siblings interacting.  A picture of a sweet moment when daddy is reading a book to them.

That really struck me so I've been making a concerted effort to pull out the camera during our mundane moments of life to capture the kids personality at this age and to remember the things they loved.

It's not super exciting.  There are no well-groomed children.  But it's truly them and I couldn't love it more!

the ever growing pile of shoes...I could clean it up, but it's just a wonderful reminder of our busy, blessed life
