Spring Break

The week before Easter Kyle had the week off. We began the week with some intense bathroom remodeling. First up I painted the walls and trim then Kyle laid the floor, installed the new toilet and put on some finishing touches (i.e. vents, outlet plates, etc). Then the project came to a sudden stand still. In order to complete the rest of the room we had to install the vanity. This was a problem because we could not find a vanity. The size is standard but we needed a left hand vs. the standard right hand vanity. We searched and searched. Our two options boiled down to a custom order from Lowe's to the tune of almost $500 (ugh) or find something on Craigslist. Well thanks to Craig and his list we found 2 reasonably priced vanities but the owners would not call/email us back so we had to wait...all week...finally on Saturday 1 of the owners called, Kyle jumped in the truck and drove to Cleveland to pick up the vanity.  So while we didn't finish the project we are once again on track.

But the week was not just about bathroom remodeling we had lots of fun family time too! Kyle played with the kids and took them to the gym to run off some energy. We bought a new computer (more on that in a minute). The kids got to play at a new playground. We hosted some special guests (Troy, Candace, Gracie and Nolan) as they prepared for their move. Sawyer and Gracie had lots of play time. The kids painted crosses and we talked about the significance of Easter. We dyed eggs. And we hosted Easter lunch.

Back to the new computer...you may have noticed some changes to the blog. It's not quite perfect yet but I'm giving it an update.  Thanks to the new computer I've finally been able to download Photoshop which has been sitting on my desk for the last year. I've been having fun (and getting frustrated) learning the new program.

It was a full week full of fun, productivity and family. We wouldn't have it any other way! Take a look:
