On June 30th we left our home for a cross country adventure! Kyle, Nora and I hopped in the van and started west. Little Miss Nora decided a cat nap was sufficient for both her morning and afternoon nap so I spent most of my time handing her toys and Cheerios. We stopped for lunch and supper but continued to truck along I-70. Around 8:00 pm Nora announced loud and clear that she was FINISHED so we stopped for the night in St. Louis.
Nora was happy to be out of her car seat and free to roam at the hotel. She even found herself a little friend (see below).

We got up bright and early for the final stretch of our trip. Thankfully it was a very uneventful trip and we arrived safe and sound at my grandparents house in Salina, KS later that afternoon.

And the highlight of the day was meeting Kyle's family at a restaurant to reunite with Sawyer! We also used the event as a celebration of Kyle's birthday. From me and kids he received 6 months of pre-planned date nights and a surprise camping trip with his best buds. Time with his wife and best friends made him very happy!
