We've crossed another major home improvement project off the list, refinishing our wood floors. I should say Kyle finished another project because my only job was to entertain the children while he did all the manual labor.
Our house has wood floors throughout the first 2 levels, but much of it was in terrible shape. Some rooms could not be saved, but there were 2 rooms that we could salvage. While Sawyer was in KS with the grandparents we removed all the furniture in the kids bedroom and in the guest room. We rented a drum sander from Home Depot and he was able to sand the floors in 1 day. Then he applied three coats of polyurethane and voila beautiful wood floors.

Before: water damage, stains, scratches, carpet glue, etc. |
 |
During: all sanded down |
 |
Final: after 3 coats of poly |
That is an impressive thing to undertake on your own! Kudos to you guys! You are way better at these home improvement things than us, ha ha!
