One of our friends had a few extra tickets for a Day Out with Thomas the Train and I couldn't pass up a date with my little man!
Sawyer was not super obsessed with trains, but after our special day Thomas has a new fan :)
Once we arrived we visited some of the interactive tents with train tables and blocks to play with. Then the boys got temporary tatoos. Then we spotted the bouncy train and slide. After exiting the slide we made our way to the train.
The boys were so excited they literally ran to our train car. The conductor helped us into the train. We took our seats. They punched our tickets. As we rode the boys looked out the window at the scenery and chowed down on treats.
After the ride we walked to the front of the train see Thomas in person. The boys were quite enamored! As Thomas left for the next ride they just stood there and repeatedly said good-bye. Finally we visited the model train tent and the boys chased after the miniature trains. Sawyer enjoyed the trains, but he was a little too grabby. He kept trying to touch the trains which was a big no-no.
look at that mischievous face getting very close to touching that train |
We could barely pull Jake away from the trains, but as the heat continued to rise and it was nearing noon we left before we all had major meltdowns.
Sawyer cannot stop talking about the choo-choo trains and he shows everyone his train tattoo!
