I can't believe my baby is 2 1/2 years old. I guess she won't be my baby for much longer.
I thought I would do a little update before the next baby arrives and we forget all about the middle child (just kidding).
She weighs 27 pounds.
She wears size 2T clothes though her pants and shirts are starting to get too short.
She wears size 7 or 8 shoes.
She has a soft heart for others. For example, when we read any kind of Llama Llama book she cries when Llama gets sad. She does not like to see other people hurting. I pray she always has such a soft heart toward others.
She is shy around new adults and will usually cling to my leg.
However, she is quite social and will easily make friends with her peers. At the playground or church she quickly makes friends. The other day we went to the zoo with friends we rarely see. They have a 2 year old girl and Nora instantly befriended her and they walked around the zoo together holding hands. Big brother was a little jealous.
She likes girly things like dresses and accessories. She notices clothes and tells people when they look nice. She also observes her surroundings and will note if she likes them or not. For example, we were at a birthday party the other day and she loved all the decorations and complimented the hostess.
While she does like all things girl, she is one tough little thing. Not that she has an option given about 98% of her playtime includes her rough and tumble brother. They are constantly tackling, tickling and jumping into each other. And if she gets hurt you can often hear her say "no blood, no foul" as she regains her composure and begins to play again. Wonder which coach in her life taught her that one?
Her vocabulary surprises me and she always talks in full sentences.
She is a good eater though milk is still off limits. She enjoys pb & j and cheese quesadillas the most, but she will tolerate most vegetables. And she'll eat pretty much anything I serve for dinner (stir-fry, soups, pizza, pasta, any kind of meat, etc). It's always a struggle to get Sawyer to eat so it's nice to have a child that will simply eat what's on their plate.
She has been fully potty trained since she was 2 though we went through a little regression period in January. She is now back on track and rarely has an accident.
She is not super interested in her ABC's and counting though she can count to 10 on occasion and identify many of her letters.
She loves to play pretend with her favorite toys including Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and Woody. She also constantly has her Doc McStuffins bag just in case anyone needs a check-up. She wears her "heart beat" everywhere.
Doc McStuffins is her favorite show though she also enjoys Octonauts and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
Her favorite movie is Lion King.
She loves anything creative (which I also love). She will color at any time. If we pull out paints or beads she can work independently for long periods of time (even longer than her brother). She is actually pretty intense when it comes to her art :)
Nora is known to be pretty bossy/sassy at times. She is certainly not afraid of correcting her brother and reminding him that Daddy and Mommy are the boss. I fear for this 3rd child and the bossiness they may have to endure.
We love her little personality, she already makes jokes and has some pretty good comedic timing. Typically this comes out at dinner and we all end up laughing at her antics.
With Sawyer we didn't start the birthday interviews until he was 3 and I felt he could talk well enough to answer the questions, but Nora came down during Sawyer's 4 year interview and she wanted to answer the questions so this is Nora's 2.5 year interview. I apologize in advance because it is super wiggly.
