Here's what it looked like before (untouched since we moved in):
Bathroom stuck in the '70's, only 1 working light and a leaning mirror |
Yellow floral wallpaper everywhere! And holes from long ago ripped out towel bars
And this is a horrifying peel'n'stick tile job...I don't understand how you can leave gaps like that... |
we also had a slight storage issue, that will be remedied soon enough |
these pictures are the 2 walls sans wallpaper and of course the kids want in on the action
Sawyer is quite distressed that his house is broken! After seeing the destruction he was adamant that he was going to "fix it all by myself! I have to fix mine house!" I doesn't grasp that it has to look worse before it looks better :)
This is a weekend only project so it's going to take a while, but thankfully we can shut the door and use the other bathrooms. We'll keep you updated.
Good for you on tackling the last room! Our 2nd bathroom (largest and the kids' one) is hideous and stuck in the 70s like yours. We have chain lights - yippee! :) Can't wait to tackle that one, but it probably won't be for another year.
ReplyDeleteHappy demolishing and remodeling!
You guys impress me! Remodeling makes us need marriage counseling. Our house is stuck in the 80's but since I'm from then too, I'm just gonna leave it that way for now :)
