Swimming Success

Since moving to OK our big kids have made huge strides in their swimming skills. They haven't taken lessons in OK, but with the oppressive summer heat they have plenty of practice in the pool. This summer Sawyer hasn't used floaties and we worked with him to increase his endurance until he could swim across the whole pool.

He put in a lot of work with 1 goal in mind...to go down the slide (you can't wear floaties at our pool). And I'm happy to report he accomplished his goal and now he's a diving board/slide pro!

I should also mention a week after Sawyer reached his goal Nora decided she was brave enough too (I already knew she had the skills, she just needed to feel confident). I'll get a video of her soon!
