I've had this fall event on the calendar for many months. Well wouldn't you know it turned out to be a very rainy day. I had pretty much decided we wouldn't be going since it was raining heavily and we still had a football game to attend that evening. However, when Sawyer got up from his rest time he was so excited to dress up and get candy I just couldn't disappoint the little guy. So, when the rain slowed we hopped into our costumes and headed for the park.

The event was held at Boettler Park. There was a trick-or-treat trail with many wonderful organizations who stood out in the freezing rain to hand out candy. It was so cute to see all of the little ones dressed up as their favorite characters.

After the kids filled their buckets with candy we headed to the parking lot for touch-a-truck. There they had all kinds of fun vehicles such as a fire truck, swat team hummer, tractors, tow truck, snow plow, etc that you could climb on and in. The kids had a blast in the fire truck and the tractor. To be honest by this point they were both drenched and freezing so I persuaded them to leave with a candy bribe. If it hadn't been raining I think they could have stayed there all day "driving" the trucks.
