I promise this is
the last post about Nora's birthday, but I had to post some pictures of
my darling daughter that Aunt Candace took. She takes pictures of all
sorts including special events, weddings, families, and of course babies
:) Candace, thanks for capturing these special memories!
Now that Nora is a year old I won't do monthly update posts but this month brought lots of changes I wanted to document. Plus it's a great way to post more wonderful birthday pictures.
wears a pebbles ponytail often
says "no"
has started throwing fits
can now go down the stairs (hip hip hooray)
you always dance to a beat
you have started to spin around in circles for fun
runs
can go up and down the slide
says "mama" contstantly
will mimic Sawyer singing
now sleeps with a pillow pet (it seems to help her sleep)
can climb onto the couch
She loves animals. When she brings us books to read it is always an animal book and she will kiss each animal on the page
Loves to play with cars and going down the slide all by herself
She enjoys getting out wet wipes to "clean" she will go around the room wiping everything off
sat in timeout for the first time (plus several more times) mostly for biting her brother. she also received her 1st spanking for biting. She knows when she is in trouble and her lip will pop out and start quivering before we can even begin to reprimand her.
Moved up to her big girl car seat still rear facing
Is now drinking from a sippy cup. At the beginning of the month she started taking a Take and Toss sippy cup pretty regularly but she was very particular. By the end of the month she was taking every hard tip sippy (still no soft silicone tips) especially if it was Sawyer's. She is still very particular about her beverage choices only 100% juice will suffice. No watering it down for her she will spit it out and throw the cup down. She will drink water occasionally if she is very parched. But if she sips milk she will immediately spit it out.
And as of Thursday, August 30th she is finished nursing. She was down to nursing once a day, right before bed but once she really got the hang of a sippy cup we stopped and Daddy is now the sole caretaker at night :) speaking of night time...
Her sleeping habits are still in regression. One night she will do well and the next night she will be up for 2 hours. I don't even want to talk about this I'm too tired :)
