Holiday Happenings

This month was filled with some of our favorite traditions!

At the beginning of the month we decorated for Christmas. The kids love to put their ornaments on the tree while wearing their Christmas pajamas. Then we capped off the evening with a Christmas movie.

During the SNU Christmas Party the kids got to visit Santa. Kolter was so excited he ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug! They each told Santa what they wanted for Christmas and there were lots of smiles (no tears)!

And finally we had our annual Christmas Jammie Cocoa night. It was Evy's introduction to the tradition and our first time looking at lights in OKC. The lights did not disappoint. We visited one neighborhood location with a block of synchronized lights and a park light display that went on for almost an hour! We were all quite impressed! This tradition just gets more fun as the kids get older and really appreciate the lights and understand what each image represents!

Pictures (top to bottom, L to R): Kolter and Evy, 3 crazy kids, sleeping babe, the big 3 being silly together, Kolter enjoying a chocolate cupcake, sisters, Sawyer sweetly holding Evy's hand, my baby boy watching a show

'Tis the season for Christmas decor, festive pajamas and holiday movies #themostwonderfultimeoftheyear #christmascheer

Sweetly watching a movie quickly devolves into this...

Pre-K Thanksgiving Feast

Nora's Pre-K class hosted a Thanksgiving Feast. Miss Nora was the cutest pilgrim!

They sang songs (see the videos below), told us what they were thankful for and enjoyed a feast of foods!

Football Funday {November '16}

The football season wrapped up in mid-November. We've moved into the recruiting phase, but I figured I'd better wrap up the season ;)

11/5 SNU v. Henderson 7-40
11/12 SNU @ Oklahoma Baptist 20-10 Winner, Winner

snoozing through a game
my favorite part of the game…the kids running to give daddy a big hug after the game…they don't care about the score, they just want to love on their daddy!
sweet friends

The final game was a close away game so we made the short trek and I got to sit in the stands for the 1st time this season. It was a beautiful fall day and the kids spent most of the time in the bounce house so I actually enjoyed watching the game. And to top it off SNU won! What a great way to end the season!!!

To run off a little energy Kyle and Papa took the kids to Garden of the Gods. They had some fun climbing!

Thanksgiving {2016}

For Thanksgiving we traveled to CO for a whirlwind holiday that included Thanksgiving, my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, and the arrival of a new cousin from China! It was 3 days jam-packed with celebrations!

This was how Evy spent most of her 1st Thanksgiving. It's a rough life!

All ready for the Thanksgiving meal! We went to my aunt's house for the meal. There was lots of family and good food! We even enjoyed a rousing game of Speak Out. I should have taken pictures of that ;)

More Papa and Evy

On Friday we got all dressed up for a night on the town to celebrate Papa & Tache's 60th wedding anniversary.

We even got to ride in a limo!

After dinner we headed to the airport to welcome Uncle Adam, Aunt Wendy and Jonathan home from China. The kids had a blast making signs and getting balloons to welcome Jonathan home!

The next morning we left for home. And on the drive home we had another treat. We met Papa and Mema at a restaurant so Papa could meet Evy!
